Your green manufactured home builder in Florida.
Manufactured homes are generally a more environmentally friendly choice than a traditional site-built home — and Jacobsen Homes goes further. Every home is built inside a climate-controlled factory where supplies are bought in bulk, waste is recycled, and energy use is reduced from the very first cut of lumber.
Green building practices
Building inside a controlled factory environment produces less waste, reduces labor cost, and conserves energy. Materials are stored away from the elements and recycled wherever possible.
Scrap lumber, aluminum, copper wiring, cardboard and even styrofoam packaging are recycled. Steel frames, vinyl lap siding and metal crates are repurposed into new products instead of going to costly disposal.
Green materials in every home
Roofing
Reinforced roofs with thick cellulose insulation, 9" eave drip, asphalt shingle underlayment, OSB sheathing and 15-lb roofing felt. ENERGY STAR® shingles available to greatly reduce heat transfer.
Walls
Resource-efficient wall systems with steel hurricane straps, storm-ready sheathing and ProLinx™ whole-house wrap — a high-quality, low-cost weather barrier built for Florida storms.
